  There is never enough space on X for me to write what I need to. I still haven’t forgiven u @virginmedia for axing Thatstv2 and Thatstv3 at least now it’s not even on the menu wasn’t nice when u kept it up on the guide showing me what was on. Those channels r on sky & freeview

  @LillacTyanu This is the most accurate breakdown in the thread, so thank you. You are right, the fee is for live TV, Freeview comes preloaded, and if you never connect the aerial or watch live you do not owe it. They can chase you, but the burden is on them to prove you watched. That nuance is the whole ballgame. The fee leans on people not knowing they already have the exit. You clearly do. 🦋

  @Osprey0 @SkyNews Yes, GB News WAS in HD on Freeview, but the paedophiles in @OfCom decided to erase five HD TV channels, for garbage 5G mobile phones. The channels are still in HD on satellite, a cheapo sat box, sub £100 dish, and decent cable, and you can have it all so long as dish south facing

  My elderly, widowed neighbour struggles to navigate Freeview. Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly. I honestly believe they’re building to a ‘Logan’s Run’ style of totalitarian State 🤬

  Worst case scenario on That's TV channels on Freeview I'm posting this because Freeview channel 75 That's Entertainment deadline is over and nothing been broadcasting yet the deadline was on Wednesday 22nd July 2026. Freeview channel 7 & 8 That's Local channels are not affected by this. All That's channels on Freeview will be removed from the EPG without notice.   @aconda_ann I am quite old fashioned as well. I did get a bargain smallish 'internet / smart' TV but no use when freezes or internet cuts off (been happening for years, with no fix). It's on a terrible indoor aerial, so I can't get most Freeview on that one but my fave usual telly: Freeview.

  @ryantegan @skytv Even Freeview is going down the streaming route with Freely. The government will also not commit to support over the air broadcasting after 2034.
