@a516digital @BBC Thanks done all this. As I have exactly the same issues with BBC FOUR HD on a freesat box (itv/bbc type) which runs off a different dish and on a different tv I really don’t think on this occasion it’s me or my equipment. SD fine. Freeview HD also fine. All other channels ok.

@CactiEmpress Never watched it ngl, the only American sitcoms we had on UK freeview was Big bang theory and How I met your mother just constantly on repeat on this one channel called "E4"

@BBCOneDrama as freeview premieres this christmas plus two or three expensive stand alone drama specials the world does not revolve around eastenders on six times call the midwife plus strictly blankety blank specials there no need to have such poor options on bbc or itv

@bookyblonde @skytv @TalkingPicsTV Me neither, I've got an old sky box and that still gets tptv, definitely not upgrading, if anything goes wrong with my box, I shall be getting a freeview box instead, it's on there, been a customer for over 25 years, definitely can't do without tptv

Watching a DVD-R of Quatermass 2 recorded on my DVD recorder way back in 2006 connected via scart to my Freeview box... and it looks, errm 'poor' MPEG2>analogue PAL>MPEG2 recording and watched back on a 55" 2160p screen!

@JuliaLopezMP I was going to gripe about the iniquity of Jury service, where those who hate the idea are press ganged into it on pain of a £1000 fine, but on seeing your position.... Freeview has an expiry date, the 2038 Linux bug - specifying as UNSIGNED format would solve
