George (The UK Action Team) (@UKAT_George) reportedPrecisely and if the BBC want to discontinue running the freeview service and save money on upkeep of the transmitters why do we have to pay the licence fee. If you decide to only watch non BBC live channels online which you pay for by having broadband then the licence is wrong.

I would like to see a system similar to Sky so you could choose your subscription level.

LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS It also eats up a lot of your broadband. No problem if you're on an unlimited package, but for people on cheaper, restricted usage packages, that will cost. Freely is good where reception is poor, but Freeview is still needed.

I think my main point is Crewe fans have rarely contributed to radio Stoke when they’ve been on other frequencies. Why is freeview so bad?

The licence is a poll tax - the poorest and the richest pay the same - and very regressive. Why force the poor to pay to watch freeview tv

Sam 1997 (@SamGate360) reported@retrovinmania79 @NoContextBrits You don't the difference between Freeview/DVB (which is the morden digital version of what you said) and a streaming service that requires you to make a profile account to use the software/service even though you don't like on YouTube. You only pay to get rid of the adverts.
