    @Lapsedcat Yeah, BBC2 never did a ten minute freeview or anything. See also, Pan’s People, Carry On films, Confessions films. It was worse for the Victorians, getting all hot under the collar over a piano leg.

    @Sotlive No, on freeview there are hundreds of channels for people to pick. If they subscribe to a TV service, even more. It's not like people didn't have a choice to watch it or turn over.

    @NeilfromScone @BritishAlba @MrHarryCole O dear. One day of being deprived of BBC content,you poor thing. Cant you get Sky news on freeview then. I haven't watched any BBC programmes for months because of their rubbish woke content, but no complaints line set up for that.

    @Macsgfbaker 100 channels on freeview, noone has traditional terrestrial TV anymore, shut down years ago. Most people moaning would never watch BBC live anyway, like you point out....its 5 channels only, oh and only 3 shopping channels out of that 100
