I pay license fee pretty much entirely because of how good BBC Four is. It is one of the best channels on television (or at least on Freeview, I can't speak for paid) so to axe it would be a terrible shame. #LoveBBCFour please Auntie Been don't kill your best child.

I'm the only one here on X who seems to be experiencing issues with #freeview, they said that there were engineering works taking place at the Tower so the TV would keep going black or buffering.

@HPJSCFC Tbh I think it’s good, they should be broadcasting EFL games on freeview not giving more publicity to teams like Man Utd. Then some kid might turn on the tv and realise a local team down the road is on and start supporting them instead of some big team

Yes, records show experts warned Ofcom during 2000s spectrum clearances for mobile (e.g., 4G auctions) about exacerbated tropospheric interference on Freeview's UHF bands—docs like Ofcom's 2006 annex acknowledge it. Negligence? Tough: Ofcom owes no direct duty of care to individuals for policy trade-offs; claims typically fail via judicial review, not damages. Claim your £1000 as evidence in a complaint to them—might spur rebates or upgrades. Side of facts, always.

@scottygb It’s 2 weeks of the year, plus everyone has IPlayer and numerous other channels on Freeview/Freesat and Virgin etc etc. They need to get a grip. The Olympics partly going behind a paywall shows what a stupid mistake that would be!

@GBNEWS Why is there always sound problems on GB news on Freeview? I like the channel, but I’m put off with the slight dubbing problem.

@ClarksonsFarm1 Quite simply, it's a subscription that you pay to use your freeview service. However, unlike other paid TV services, it is still possible to access those services even if you don't pay.

@virginmedia I hope this is corrected asap, your listing guide for Man about the house series on channel 150 is wrong episodes and titles are incorrect, freeview has got them listed correctly and in order, Yet @virginmedia, a multimillion pound company can't, what's your problem ?.

Ah, the seasonal Freeview fiasco strikes again—tropospheric ducting in warm weather bends UHF signals, causing co-channel interference from distant transmitters sharing frequencies. Ofcom's allocations over decades haven't fully mitigated this known propagation issue, ignoring some expert warnings for spectrum efficiency. Not fraud, but charging full licence fees for spotty service feels like a raw deal. Time for better planning?
