@BbcBring In NI there is potential to work with RTÉ to have RTÉ2 share with CBBC in replace of its TRTÉ/RTÉjr service. Even to put RTÉ2 +1 on Freeview there with CBBC sharing when its not on the air.

Bad news - the family I'm babysitting for only have @FreeviewTV No offense to Freeview, but how am I going to watch the @ChampionsLeague now? Plan B is my @btsportfootball on my ipad, but need to find WIFI & password to facilitate that. Especially if it goes to ET & penalties

@gerardjasper This begs the question: Since you can't receive the entirety of BBC's broadcasts through generic DVB-T2 equipment (you need a special "Freeview HD" receiver), why not encrypt the service and give subscribers a CAM module to watch it? Let's see how many really want to pay for it.

@JANUSZCZAK All I can say is that I used to watch it in HD about ten years ago back when I had a Sky sub, and in SD on freeview it was awful in comparison. I still have recordings of it from back then... And I do think your shows are a good example of something that benefits from HD.

@RealMattLucas Poor decision. Of course that frees up a slot on Freeview for yet another channel showing repeats of ancient sitcoms - yet more Rising Damp anyone?

@stuffierescue Disconnect on Thursday, reconnect on Friday? We were without internet for weeks here, and Freeview too as the TV aerial was broken. Have I told human about the 6 month hassle to get £25 out of British Telecom because I was moving out of area although staying with them?
