@Matey30 @virginmedia Nothing less than I’ve come to expect from them. Service has been so bad which is why we’ve left their tv service. Had to keep the broadband for now due to limitations of other local providers. Now watching freeview…

  • old_bob52 Kevin Bull (@old_bob52) reported from Coventry, England

@LewisHamilton @SilverstoneExp That may be the case Lewis. If you really want to inspire the next generation. F1 needs to be on Freeview. It willl never happen though.

  • DamienAshton Damien Ashton-Wellman (@DamienAshton) reported from Birmingham, England

Looking through the festive TV schedule and there's no Muppet Christmas Carol on any of the freeview channels this year. Never wanted @DisneyPlus to launch more than right now.

  • brundellfilimou Mike Benjamin (@brundellfilimou) reported

@Garnhiem_ @talkRADIO The issue that most people have is with the news programmes. There are no subscription only news TV stations in the Uk. Even sky news is free on freeview. It is also not an option for radio stations.

  • TormentedToffee Tormented Toffee (@TormentedToffee) reported

@JuliaHB1 You fail to mention the BBC also contribute to both Broadband and Freeview. I suppose you never use them either ? All for 43p a day 👍

  • kingswing72 Irrefutably Wright (@kingswing72) reported

@SpergenFlergen @bbcpress BBC pays to maintain the Freeview network as part of the licence fee.

  • chrisbardell Chris Bardell (@chrisbardell) reported

@Turnip_Of_Doom @JoshHarris91 @davidschneider Yep, ITV/C4/C5 will never be able to pay for the entire running cost of Freeview. So it’ll close and they’ll go subscription-only.

  • JebSuspended Jeb The Sociopath Bush (@JebSuspended) reported

@ShineyFx If you even use Freeview ever. You also use it. You do use something it pays for Now that doesn’t equate to you should pay for it. Ofc not, choice is choice But like you do and it will be the case for streaming service eventually

  • Purple43213287 Purple (@Purple43213287) reported

@andrew_wauchope @guardian So you don't think disability programming is a vital service? What about the freeview network?

  • VModifiedMind Vince (@VModifiedMind) reported

@iandeeley @peterson_joey @reckless Freeview is awful yes, as is DAB.

  • BrianAgain3 BrianAgain (@BrianAgain3) reported

@MMABrad48 May as well stick a £2.99 a month premium channel on the Amazon service and chuck in adverts on the freeview channels. No one is seeing their arse in 2022 with a few adverts given what social media is like these days.

  • RobSmit12639238 Tech Man (@RobSmit12639238) reported

@williamnhutton You happy for the sums the BBC is paying too its stars?? Maybe the BBC needs to cut down its Daytime offering. Just make it Subscription based.. If u want to pay U do. If u dont then U dont & have no access to BBC Content. ITV, Ch4 then all truly "Freeview"

  • Brekkietweets Brekkie (@Brekkietweets) reported

@ledredman @jeremybear123 @JolyonMaugham There is a false narrative that Freeview can be phased out. Anyone who has watched anything live on Amazon or ITV Hub can tell you internet broadcasting is not up to scratch. Selling spectrum so people can watch shows on phones at expense of watching in HD on TV is just stupid.
