You don’t realise how awful freeview is until your waiting for the sky man to come to your house 🥴

@Matey30 @virginmedia Nothing less than I’ve come to expect from them. Service has been so bad which is why we’ve left their tv service. Had to keep the broadband for now due to limitations of other local providers. Now watching freeview…

Looking through the festive TV schedule and there's no Muppet Christmas Carol on any of the freeview channels this year. Never wanted @DisneyPlus to launch more than right now.

@AlexMacLeod9 the tv was off, the website was down, the phone was probably being inundated with calls as it was a recorded message then it cut me off! I guess all customers were doing the same. On freeview for now, I'll check later if they're back onstream.

@PeterMannionMP He's already at the World Service, being honest on BBC News Outside Source for years, but fortunately Nadine Dorries doesn't know how to find 107 on her Freeview.

@virginmedia Pretty scant in the way of updates given how long it’s been since the outage began. Telling us that a handful of TV channels are available now is all well & good, but I can turn my V6 box off completely & get those for nothing via Freeview.

@RobertMHolt @virginmedia @AkShane47 Still no channels at 8pm. Using freeview what a complete fail. Sky broadband package here I come after huge mistakes on my bills since August

@bobp1961 @virginmedia Zen, a dedicated broadband provider, superb. For TV just gone to a smart TV (with a couple of apps for the channels I want) and Freeview. VM costs were just frankly ridiculous and service problematic.

@stephensaunt1 @PaulbernalUK @virginmedia You only get compensation for a complete outage. VM have put a couple of Freeview channels on to worm their way out of compensation. Very disingenuous company.

@cirriustech Ours came back about 6.30PM last night after being off from about 10AM yesterday morning. Wouldn't have been an issue - I might not have known - but I was off and at my mum's. She just has BBC News on all the time. Can't manage the controller to switch to Freeview :(

@virginmedia All the more reason to bin the TV service and just stream or use Freeview. Happy to save my money.
