@aliiscrying @JohnJohnNYC_ You can have a TV and not buy a TV license you just won't get BBC or other freeview channels, you can still get digital cable or other pay services from **** like Sky

  • b33rbash_twitch b33rbash (e-beggar arc) (@b33rbash_twitch) reported

@aliiscrying @JohnJohnNYC_ in the UK you buy a television license to access Freeview which is the terrestrial television service you can get with an antenna. The money goes to fund the BBC

@FreeviewAdvice is there a problem with freeview reception in the SA14 area?

  • moss_phill Phillbo (@moss_phill) reported

@FreeviewAdvice EX349DF number 13. Has there been problems with freeview in this area recently? I seem to keep losing channels on a daily basis and having to retune everyday and not getting back channels I previously had (which isnt many compared to other freeview users)

  • MasterNath Nath. (@MasterNath) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Hi. Just tried to call the advice line and was told "this service is not available" and was promptly disconnected :/. I am interested in getting Freeview but have questions about the boxes

  • Louise243 LS (@Louise243) reported

@commaficionado I think I preferred analogue TV static to when the Freeview boxes first came out, because you could still watch through a bit of static, but with digital it would go all pixelated and then lose the signal when there was a bad storm, which happened quite often in rainy Manchester.

  • Oldcynic9 Granny B.Goode #Clint Eastwood 4ever.❤ (@Oldcynic9) reported

@Karen31332753 @benonwine Thats exactly the same as we keep saying... trouble is its almost as much money for just broadband as it is to include the tv. Plus we aint got a BT line to change broadband providers, & yeah I'd miss the recording. Even though I know freeview boxes can record now.
