@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

  • EranE1980 Eran Edry (@EranE1980) reported from Camden Town, England

@FreeviewAdvice hi there. Please see DMs sent to Freeview account asking for support with channels that don't show (weird D sign with \ on it next to them) including Sky News, Pick and others. Many thanks

  • fishinthedark1 fishinthedark (@fishinthedark1) reported from Hammersmith, England

@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

  • niklasRen Nik Rahmel (@niklasRen) reported from Wandsworth, England

@Stephen_Neal Good shout! If we just take the Freeview/Freesat ones, we get to ten, excluding the National ones: 1) BBC One 2) BBC Two 3) BBC Four 4) CBBC 5) CBeebies 6) BBC News 7) BBC Parliament 8) Dave 9) Drama 10) Yesterday But they aren’t licence fee funded, so don’t help the argument.

  • XtopherCalvert Christmas Calvert (he/him) (@XtopherCalvert) reported from Poplar, England

Question for arts people. We don’t use Freeview as our signal is much more reliable using Apple TV through our internet connection. Is there a way I can get @SkyArts via Apple TV?

  • Tommy_M_E_J Tom Jordan (@Tommy_M_E_J) reported from Hammersmith, England

  • adrianatkins196 adrian atkins (@adrianatkins196) reported from Crayford, England

@FreeviewAdvice No freeview signals in Swindon SN3 area, Is the signal down?

  • russ_nicol Russ Nicol 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@russ_nicol) reported

@Penelop11785074 @OwenJones84 @GBNEWS Unfair to judge on a YT clip of anything. Shame your freeview signal is so poor. You can download the GBNews app onto your phone however and watch it live there.

  • christt C.J. Thorpe-Tracey ⧖ (@christt) reported

It’s weird that there are five or six miserable 24hr news channels on freeview but not one 24hr sports news channel. There’s a big gap right there for a broadcaster to pivot their stupid 24hr cycle from ‘relentlessly depressing’ to ‘relentlessly (mostly) uplifting and fun’.

  • JasonAtDavid Jason Stone (@JasonAtDavid) reported

@FollowerAndy0 @jimwaterson Yes but won't piping it through Sky, Freeview etc massively mitigate the risk of it breaking down?

  • pageturner_92 Emma✨ (@pageturner_92) reported

When our TV was installed the guy said we didn't need to worry about the satellite signal dropping when the weather was bad because the freeview would easily run through the Sky. Well guess what, it is absolutely pouring down with rain and we've lost all signal!

  • AlanWOODHEAD7 Alan WOODHEAD (@AlanWOODHEAD7) reported

@RomanUWSB ...... We Allso have small freeview digital boxes that convert old analogue t. v. 's with scarts to new sygnal. Totally free. One off buy box and install payment. Bad side is if you watch live t. v. You have to pay a yearly licence fee to BBC. Around £138. A year...

  • wbxcvi Bert (@wbxcvi) reported

@RealFibb @marcwatson7 Still got this Sky in the house never updated still the same. Same freeview box from 2001.

  • FreeviewAdvice Freeview Advice (@FreeviewAdvice) reported

@Ashcroft46 Hi, Rick. If you're still not getting Freeview channels, try an automatic retune on your TV, if you haven't done so yet. If that doesn't work, please DM us your postcode and house name/house number so we can check your predicted coverage.

  • LukeMcCabe16 Luke McCabe (@LukeMcCabe16) reported

@NickFrostSays Yeah stick every game outside the blackout Freeview, I agree. But the 3pm blackout is about keeping that culture of you go to 3pm games. The Premier League is really irrelevant in the discussion, it’s about making sure people go Carlisle when it’s -2 in January

  • PhillWatson1970 Phil Watson Esq. #FBPE 🇨🇭🇪🇺 (@PhillWatson1970) reported

@KarenStopHate @WasOnceLoved This is 2021 not 1979. For benefits you need a mobile phone and an online account. They don’t go to the job centre to sign on anymore. All TVs today are flat screens and as analogue signal has been switched off you need at least Freeview. This a classic case of a false analogy
