Question for arts people. We don’t use Freeview as our signal is much more reliable using Apple TV through our internet connection. Is there a way I can get @SkyArts via Apple TV?

Some days I really wish I'd kept all those calls to @JimDavisOnAir on my freeview box. I've been sent way back in time with a USB memory stick, a few years back with some calls. Damn, I really miss those days with the song choice and #JimDavisLive And it was just brilliant radio

@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

@talkSPORT @Sjopinion10 That's a bad idea. Sky have rights to other sports too, so a netflix football service would be yet another thing to pay for if you like multiple sports. More football needs to be on freeview channels like BBC and ITV.

@petemorristwit Simples- the @BBC should be on Freeview or a subscription service. They've screwed the British public for too long.😡
-
Scott M
(@scott_gamer) reported
@Page_888 @russty_russ The rebrand made sense, but the channel only airing at that time of the day on Freeview didn't. It was never going to be able to compete with the BBC and Sky, so I'm surprised that ITV's news channel managed to last 5 years on the air.

@virginmedia is there a way to negotiate a new contract without being on the phone for 2 hours+? Raising my bill from £45 to £66 automatically when the contract ends is absolutely disgusting for what I receive. Internet that goes down and paying for the same channels as freeview?
-
Mike Benjamin
(@brundellfilimou) reported
@LeapfrogMark @TalkTV @iancollinsuk Most of the BBC is not suitable for a subs service, for example, no UK news programme is subscription only (even sky is on freeview) and technically it is not possible for radio stations. An advertising and sponsorship is more realistic but other media outlets will not like it

@APndrgrst What I like to watch is available free to air, & I don't know where else to find it. This year I tried the free apple TV sub that came with my tablet. Everything was pay per view with a monthly fee as well. I quit! I listen to the radio on Freeview too: no reception issues.

-
Brekkie 🇺🇦

@putthetellyon And on top of that HD channels are actually closing down on Freeview. The picture quality of low bit-rate SD channels is increasingly an issue in a world where people have bigger TV and HD streaming services as the norm.

Brad Macpherson
(@BradMacpherson5) reported
@BootstrapCook If the TV's relatively new it should have a built-in Freeview tuner. The aerial might be more of a problem though depending on how good a signal you get - digital's more sensitive than analogue, a poor signal makes it unwatchable rather than just snowy.
-
Nisbet Bryce
(@nisbetbryce) reported
@BootstrapCook Sometimes. The cabling should work fine so long as the box and your TV have an HDMI port. Problem might be whether the Freeview signal in your area is strong enough to be picked up by a small aerial.
