  @bobbert_ Full Sky Q except Sports & Kids, Netflix, Prime and Disney+! I initially got Sky as the Freeview signal was ****, but since then a masthead amp has been installed on the communal aerial so all good now. Think I prefer your idea of £11.99 a month, as I hardly watch any of it!

  @BENEFITS_NEWS I don't understand what switching off Freeview does, except I assume forces people to pay for everything? We have an Amazon Fredrick thing but the channels are apps. It's crap half the TV channels you can't even get on it. Freeview is better.

  Worst case scenario on That's TV channels on Freeview I'm posting this because Freeview channel 75 That's Entertainment deadline is over and nothing been broadcasting yet the deadline was on Wednesday 22nd July 2026. Freeview channel 7 & 8 That's Local channels are not affected by this. All That's channels on Freeview will be removed from the EPG without notice.   There is a weird bug where save/load files from freeview perspective (i.e. the one that isn't the isometric top down view) causes double-prompts on saving/loading existing names

  @bmstewart2004 My mother had Sky since 1997, they kept hiking the price -nothing extra. She was paying £55 p/m for basic TV, most is free on Freeview. She cancelled. Suddenly they could slash the price. She said no — should’ve offered that before. Absolute con merchants. Never trust Sky.

  @mart_stead @SW18_67FC @johnrobinson07 It's not more saturated too, it's shot in a Full Range and de-converted down to Standard Range to fit in our poor freeview infrastructure, it makes red and yellows considerably crushed. That's why the Holland game looked the worse so far

  @LillacTyanu This is the most accurate breakdown in the thread, so thank you. You are right, the fee is for live TV, Freeview comes preloaded, and if you never connect the aerial or watch live you do not owe it. They can chase you, but the burden is on them to prove you watched. That nuance is the whole ballgame. The fee leans on people not knowing they already have the exit. You clearly do. 🦋
