So I watch PBS America, freeview channel, and the needless deaths on both sides and the terrible destruction of the Vietnam war and I've just been told that no talent #gemmacollins on ITV with Piers, has 1 million followers on Instagram, words fail me.

@ElinorCooper27 @lav25th @MartinSLewis A basic problem for changing the system is that current Freeview tech is not compatible with subscriptions. You'd have to replace all boxes..currently a huge chunk of viewers using them. That idea will have to wait for next gen of tech.

@SkyHelpTeam Thanks. It seems to be the freeview channels that are the issue.

Finally got to a point in the day when I could do some book writing, and Mum's Sky box started smelling of smoke. So, instead, we spent the time calling Sky to get it serviced and my teaching Mum how to access the OnDemand services (Freeview doesn't work for some reason)

@illarterate @TeletextR @that_other_Carl It wasn’t too bad on Freeview but it was terrible on Sky. Really, really slow

@ericfish85 The irony is that the BBC is basically losing the ability to broadcast to maybe a few thousand people in China able to access their service, and the broadcast was already heavily censored. In contrast CGTN was previously broadcast uncensored on freeview to every UK household.

@Smudge1979 Hi Mark. Any channel changes are done by Freeview rather than us. It's likely that it's been moved to a different channel group (MUX) which has a weaker signal than what it was on previously so other channels in the same group e.g BBC News HD will also have a weak signal.

@channel5_tv is the worst for catch up tv via your app or freeview. Just can’t find programmes sometimes. Trying to find Sally Lindsays posh sleepover. C4, itv and BBC never ever have a problem with. I give up with C5
