Imagine how much of a Christmas miracle it would be if BBC3 came back to freeview number 7. I can picture it now, Gavin & Stacey returns and BBC3 makes a comeback. 25/12/19 would go down in history.

  • JoyAnneGarner Joy Garner (@JoyAnneGarner) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

Anyone else having issues with Freeview etc today? ST6 area ?

  • minxsterev helen kirk (@minxsterev) reported from Crewe, England

@curryspcworld Just been into your Crewe store looking for a freeview box. 5 staff members fiddling with displays, me the only customer. Not one member of staff came to see if I needed help. Going elsewhere as you obvs don't need my custom.

  • Crewedaddy Richard Seamon (@Crewedaddy) reported from Crewe, England

@james_blue_cat Can't afford any streaming service or the hardware upgrade to accommodate one. Freeview and iPlayer is enough. Didn't switch telly on Xmas day and Bob and Paul going fishing was my highlight.

  • DavidSwindells1 David Swindells (@DavidSwindells1) reported from Macclesfield, England

Hope we don't get this warm weather very often.#freeview doesn't work because of the high atmospheric pressure apparently. How am I going to watch #loveisland

  • RockcliffeFiles Rockcliffe Files (@RockcliffeFiles) reported from Werrington, England

Warning, stupid question incoming, does a Freeview tele just simply plug into an old skool aerial?? My mum wants a new TV but doesn’t have cable. I’m assuming so? I’ve had cable since the early 90s so haven’t had to faff on with aerials for 30 odd years !!!

@WBATDM @rm_rf_tom @Heccles94 The page outlines the fee's primary use for BBC TV (over 60%), radio, online, and distribution, with small allocations to S4C, local TV, and platforms like Freeview—none subsidizing commercial channels' content, which relies on ads/subs. Broadband mentions tie to past digital initiatives, not ongoing infrastructure. This reinforces the BBC's dominant funding share, where bias critiques justify shifting to voluntary support for true diversity and viewer choice.

I saw something somewhere it might have been YouTube about Western and war films suddenly becoming popular on UK Freeview TV channels. I suppose it's got nothing to do with the fact showing old **** films that no one wants to watch is cheaper than newer films is it?

@Itsonly99KG @addicted2newz you do realise that a TV licence vis required to allow you to (legally) watch watch or record programmes as they are broadcast on any TV channel, on any service e.g., Sky, Virgin, Freeview, Freesat?
