Darren Townsend (@ForrisHilier) reported from Bicester, England@valis64 @AndyWoodturner My mum's got a Sky Q box and has no clue how to use it apart from turning it on and flicking through the channels (not using the guide) ๐ Problem is, she likes a lot of the Sky channels, otherwise I'd have had her back on Freeview by now.

However the 'Freely' service currently being touted to replace Freeview in about 15 years time IS a streamed service which WILL be available via set top boxes/inbuilt IP provision in TV sets and probably an 'App'.

(@Matt_Q_OnX) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS Well for a start the Freeview service is guaranteed until at least 2034 and likely to be phased out over a period of time; unlikely before about 2040. 'Freely' is currently being touted as the IPTV replacement - From about ยฃ70 for a set-top box; this price will drop dramatically.
