Phil(ip) Connolly (@FilmConnolly) reported from Eastbourne, England@MrAbelMagwitch A lot of University students also have access to "Box of Broadcasts" an online catchup service which can show tv programs from all the main freeview channels... they can stream BBC content on without needing a TV license.

Well you will lose my payment for the TV licence as that's how I watch TV & if you get rid then I won't be able to watch & I'll cancel my licence. Not a very clever decision to make is it?

However, BBC World Service is available in the UK on Freeview, so it's not as if you're paying for something you can't listen to, unlike when it was funded through taxation. Plus cable and satellite operators abroad also pay to carry it.
