@TalkingPicsTV there is a problem with your Encore service via Freeview. A programme playing via Encore will suddenly stop and whatever is showing live on Freeview starts playing. There is no way of getting back to the point reached before the stop either.

Among the areas due to get BBC One HD Freeview regionalisation is North East England, where the back-up sat feed supplying relays with a signal following the Bilsdale transmitter incident has BBC One NE&C HD ready to go.

@BBCBreakfast Absolutely terrible picture quality from the BBC on its allegedly ‘ HD ‘ freeview channel this morning.

  • SebbieJ Seb (@SebbieJ) reported

How is it in 2023 @BBCNews still can't show local news in HD on @FreeviewTV. What exactly are we paying for again? Every other paid TV service (netflix, prime, etc) is delivering in 4k and we're still getting most Freeview channels in 480p it's 1992.

champions league matches not being on freeview tv is the worst thing to happen. Why should I have to watch on BT stinky behaviour

  • smileamilewide Indefatigable (@smileamilewide) reported

@petemorristwit Freesat has been rock solid transmission for approx 8 years that I’ve used it. Freeview was v poor reception in my area & would break up v frequently. Completely solved the issue. PVR with 500GB & twin tuner has proved v useful. Imho picture quality is better than Freeview too.

  • TVNZ TVNZ+ (@TVNZ) reported

@sillymidoff Kia ora Ruth! Sorry to hear about this. We're checking in with the team now to check on this! What were you watching on the TVNZ+ app (was it live or a show streaming via TVNZ+?) and did you have the same issues via Freeview or Sky?

@MarkDob_ Oh really? Suppose Jarrett knows the value of a good TV deal in the UK from Impact’s run on Challenge. Challenge airing in FreeView was a huge help in drawing those big houses for TNA in the UK during the first half of the 2010s
