  My @SkyUK box has frozen in a state of #wtf, using on/off/on/off does **** all, tv now gone to freeview and im out of my depth. And my man is sound asleep unwell, bless him. #SilenceIsGolden

  @drstevebagley yeah, but my point is more that the same content is separately uploaded on multiple platforms - so actually maybe rather than channels, these apps are like Sky/Virgin/Freeview. Some of which require login/pay, some of which don't.

  @Ofcom Already done it. Cancelled Virgin, Cable TV. Now just have Freeview. Cancelled Netflix. I would prefer to cancel the BBC and keep Netflix but that’s not an option, if I want to watch live Ch4. Time to rethink the TV license!

  @misteronmac @BBCNews £5.27 per month smartphone, only freeview, don’t smoke & even teetotal so maybe give up the car & walk 30+ miles to work, work my 10 hrs & then walk 30+ home again … At 68, working in the back of beyond, up hill & down dale, with no public transport … I don’t think so 🙄

  @WitherSDL Oh man, what rabbit hole have I gone down. She's a regular in The Sun (tabloid) as a "glamour model" I guess, and this is her 7th engagement and 8th fiance? They were together for 10 months. Just seems like some average British freeview media personality I suppose.

  @happysolderer @BBCNews Why didn’t you answer my question? Both freesat boxes and satellite dish installations are expensive. Also Freeview and Freesat boxes have incredibly low power cost. Its around £17 over the course of a year. What you said came across as a sly dig at the poor. But do carry on

  @TheSimonEvans What's interesting though is that Benny Hill was hounded out of town by us folk who thought ourselves 'right on' back then. 30 years later he's back on Freeview and - guess what - turns out some of it is awful a lot of it is surprisingly funny and creative.
