@BoostTorbay @AndrewBrazier1 Never used the first two options. Very much old school. None of the fancy pants Sky or Virgin Media either. Just plain old Freeview for me

@FreeviewAdvice Hi, for the last four days my Freeview TV reception has varied between NO SIGNAL and something of a picture on all channels but with massive pixelation and choppy sound, I currently have no signal. My postcode is WR8 0SJ I am on the Malvern transmitter.

@Jcaird2 It’s basically freeview albeit a bit cut down via the internet. We have been fine without aerial anyway and missed nothing we like but it will be nice to flick through stuff again and stumbling on something to watch.

@iggy1966 @BENEFITS_NEWS They don't really, Chris... However the 'Freely' service currently being touted to replace Freeview in about 15 years time IS a streamed service which WILL be available via set top boxes/inbuilt IP provision in TV sets and probably an 'App'.

@frmichaeltoomey @ITVX There were no issues with my Saorview/Freeview compibox.

@putthetellyon It's down on the Freeview TV too. I was waiting for the weather after the main news, except it just kept rolling the news ident.

@owenjonesjourno Ugh - daytime TV, there is nothing worse - apart from terrestrial TV in general :) What is there on Freeview to actually watch, anytime day or night? Just loads of channels showing endless ****.

  • Aramith147

@itsGower @FionaMc79461755 @bosdovja92 Yes you do!!! absolutely need a TV licence to watch or record live TV on any channel or service, including Sky TV, Virgin Media, Amazon Prime Video, ITV, Channel 4, or free-to-air channels on Freeview or Freesat.

  • Maxine2xs
Maxine, Duchess of Survival πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸŒ»πŸŒΉπŸ’™ (@Maxine2xs) reported

With Freeview, if your WiFi went down, you could still watch TV. With Freely, this isn't the case. It's horrendous. Maybe I'm imagining things? I wish I was.

  • jfwduffield
    John Duffield (@jfwduffield) reported

@johnlbirch Indeed. Becoming utterly dependent on one broadcaster is just terrible business. Even worse when Sky Sports is wedded to a dying & technically outmoded business model. Cricket poses difficulties to FTA broadcasters but with Freeview they now all have multiple channels to show it.

  • Wyfan2
The Wilder Way - Patrick Wymark Boardroom (@Wyfan2) reported

So the advantage of Freely is that unlike Freeview, when my internet goes down I also lose my TV. Technology continues to improve our lives.
