Anyone here who lives in London, who watches, or at least, can watch Freeview TV (terrestrial, rather than satellite/streamed TV), can you check whether it's working? I'm not home, so can't check. Wondering if there is a Crystal Palace transmitter problem. Thanks

@ianpaynesport you can change the tv channel numbers, mind you it took me 10 years to find out. Eg. One is no longer bbc, it can be whatever you set it as. (Freeview) I never watch bbc itv channel 4

  • joeylk71 Joanne Gray (@joeylk71) reported

@jacszosia @SaveHolbyCity I have to watch through iPlayer because I only have Freeview on my telly. I'd rather put up with freezes and delays than constant pixellation, dropout and that irritating screeching sound that watching Freeview's dreadful signal (or lack of) involves.

  • featuredreamer Ian S Rickard (@featuredreamer) reported

@NLebrecht I didn't hear that problem. It sounded fine on my Freeview digital TV and combined HiFi. I will try to take ore notice of the balance of instruments, as the Proms continue.

@skytv @SkyHelpTeam it’s always confused me that if you pay Sky for their TV service using their equipment and dishes, you still have to pay for a separate licence… surely this should be included in your billing as they are providing the service… #TVLicence #Sky #Freeview

  • roryobryan Rory O'Bryan (@roryobryan) reported

@FreeviewAdvice @FreeviewTV It's a usability issue with the Freeview Play software. The program he wants to watch is also available via one of the builtin apps. But there is no choice not to open the app and just watch the show live, so all he gets is a registration screen he can’t understand.

@BillySarstard @vwgti80 @DJBURNS_was I see no issue. If you dont want to fund freeview then don't get a tv licence. You get what you pay for

  • Liberalsnowfl19 Blackbeard 🏴‍☠️🍻 (@Liberalsnowfl19) reported

@BillySarstard @vwgti80 @DJBURNS_was Yes as the licence fee funds freeview and freesat. Its a public service. Just like council tax payers help fund public libraries. Its providing a service for the masses.

  • mickyjay Micky Jay (@mickyjay) reported

@PhoenixTCat @MPrepuce We lurv #FREESAT it offers SÖ MUCH MØRE than #FREEVIEW and costs not a Squid more than the initial dish & decoder! I still fail to comprehend WHY THE HELL ANYÒNE CÖULD EVEN CONSIDER @VirginMedia. Yùķ!

  • TheRealPeterWa1 The Real Peter Wayne (@TheRealPeterWa1) reported

If anybody's feeling masochistic tonight, there is a solid six hours of the first series of women's prison drama, "Bad Girls" from 10 to 10 on freeview Drama.

@DukeHollyrood @Inside_TheRopes As far as I've seen, @peacockTV is basically a free add-on, not a self-contained broadcasting network, so it'll likely be available alongside current networks, either as an additional service alongside a major network, a free service (similar to Freeview), or both.
