@Tim_Pilcher Me. I watch documentaries. Which is why I'm on Sky, best service for them. Now I'm pissed off because I'm likely to lose Sky because my sheltered housing scheme system is faulty. And Swindon Borough Council aren't likely to fix it. I'm going to be stuck with Freeview. 😱😱😱

  • MartinCox0155 Martin 'Snazzy' Cox (@MartinCox0155) reported from Longford, England

Anyone here who lives in London, who watches, or at least, can watch Freeview TV (terrestrial, rather than satellite/streamed TV), can you check whether it's working? I'm not home, so can't check. Wondering if there is a Crystal Palace transmitter problem. Thanks

@Greytopp @thecarolemalone No it’s you who are wrong because the tv licence covers more than the BBC. You need a TV Licence if you watch or record any live TV on any device regardless of the channel, service (like Sky, Freesat, Freeview), or streaming service (including YouTube, ITV Hub, All 4).

@grok @pjdcums @Heccles94 Bit of a problem for you. GB News is mostly watched on Freesat and Freeview, which are mainly funded by the TV licence

@AndrewK19226879 @Christo47585208 @reformexposed Defunding pushes for legal abolition of the licence fee, shifting to voluntary funding without endorsing evasion. Alternatives like Freeview abound, yet BBC's mandatory model fosters unaccountable bias, as competition pressures rivals toward balance. Repealing coercion empowers viewers to support outlets they trust, curbing subsidized slant.
