Giffgaff Issues Reports Near Selsey, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Selsey and nearby locations:

  • Sparky_Darryl Darryl Barlow (@Sparky_Darryl) reported from Emsworth, England

@giffgaff They said this “The engineers that are doing the work on the mast have not given us any updates. The engineers do update our network page, all you need to do is enter your postcode and it will bring up if there is issues in your area and if they are going to be delayed” No Help!

  • ChrisOverthrow Chris Overthrow (@ChrisOverthrow) reported from Portsmouth, England

@brendonvbone I was with giffgaff (o2) and its bollocks. Now with Vodafone. I get decent signal apart from half time. At half time I can get some internet but it's very slow. That's unavoidable with 18k people all using their phones though.

  • Sparky_Darryl Darryl Barlow (@Sparky_Darryl) reported from Emsworth, England

@giffgaff I have been in touch a few times over the last week or two through my account but never get an update of the mast repair! #NoServiceHere

We've put one of our other GiffGaff sims in that phone and we get a 4G connection just fine so it is definitely an issue with the brand new sim and not the phone or availability of 4G in our area. How can we resolve this please? 2/2

  • JB_1275 JT (@JB_1275) reported

@giffgaff I bought a £10 good bag yesterday and I’m being told I have no credit (I have not made any calls or texts) I have only used data (at the same levels I use data every month and I never run out). Can you please assist?

  • Yorksims John Woods (@Yorksims) reported

@incrediblylate @giffgaff I've never seen a solution in the forum but giffgaff may be able to come up with one for you. The French 081 number is equivalent to an 0845/0875 here in the UK so there's 2 separate charges to call it HSBC's charge + giffgaff's one which don't work when it's a foreign number.

@s_troughton Oh dear, Steve, that's odd. Please try clearing the cache and cookies on your browser, and then try that out again. If you have the same issues, we would recommend trying that out using another internet browser or device. - giffgaff Emer.

@giffgaff I pay for SIM for Granddaughter through giffgaff, she has lost her phone. Tried calling but straight to voicemail. Is their anything can be done to locate last signal?

  • TomBennett_93 Tom Bennett (@TomBennett_93) reported

@giffgaff You guys really need to start doing WIFI calling.... It's an issue and most networks have this now. I don't want to leave Giffgaff but will have to if this doesn't change.

  • techpoodle Rachael 🏳️‍🌈 (@techpoodle) reported

Hi @giffgaff we're trying to use a goodybag on one of our old phones to get us connectivity while OpenReach fix the line after a car took down a pole in our village, but the new sim we have just put in a spare phone and added a 100GB Golden Goodybag to is only giving us 3G... 1/2

  • Onebiskuit PaulM 🇮🇪🇫🇷🇨🇦🚲🐟 (@Onebiskuit) reported

@drmatthewhardy We alighted on Giffgaff originally because my daughter was in Canada termtime, and wiith Giffgaff you have a permanent mobile number but can buy a month’s service ( a “Goodybag”) at a time without renewing, so she just paid £10 each month she was back home, for about 10gb.

  • giffgaff giffgaff | The mobile network run by you (@giffgaff) reported

@JB_1275 Hi there, we are so sorry to hear about that. Could you please send us a DM and we can help you further? - giffgaff Nicole

  • ETinkley ellaaaaa (@ETinkley) reported

@giffgaff I put my card on a friends account and now they don’t want it, but neither of us know the login and she doesn’t use the phone anymore! I need to stop the payments please.
