@SteHyatt @giffgaff The demographic mentioned on the end has definitely never been me. I usually use Wi-Fi 95% of time but want a few mobile calls and texts and data when off Wi-Fi. When travelling I switch up to get more data.

@giffgaff hello. My 4g has been down all afternoon so phone is essentially defunct if I leave the house. Whatโ€™s the problem?

@giffgaff Thatโ€™s no use, Iโ€™m going to be here all week. What is their timescale? I genuinely donโ€™t mean to sound like stroppy customer here, but Iโ€™m going to have to go to another service provider if this isnโ€™t sorted by lunchtime.

Hi @giffgaff! My momโ€™s bought a pay as you go sim with unlimited minutes yesterday - had a 60 minute phone call to a London number and it says all her minutes are finished. I cannot find a number to call you. Please help - thanks!

@giffgaff am disappointed by changes to cheapest goody bags. I've never been interested in more than a couple of calls or texts, just data.

@virginmedia @giffgaff @Telefonica gifgaff, who are part of O2, who now work with Virgin Media. All part of Telefonica (and Liberty Global). A FOI request detailing how network coverage map data is recorded, updated, and published would be interesting to see. It seems to be very different from reality.

  • TheDePINCat
    TheDePINCat ๐Ÿˆ๐ŸŒ (@TheDePINCat) reported

.@giffgaff have generally been good (10 years+ a subscriber). For the past few days, I have been unable to send texts from my UK number. I had to go onto a forum to diagnose what I thought was a device problem. Reset my network settings (no help). And then back to the forum to find a coverage map. Ideally, giffgaff would send alerts to impacted areas so we are aware with this information. And, with connectivity being fundamental to everything we do in the digital world, communication should be treated as high priority as a burst water pipe or gas leak. This is why community-owned networks are so crucial. There is an extra level of care and concern when the issue directly impacts you.

@valuemanmatt @O2 @Joff_L They decided its fair for you to pay through the nose so other "new customers" have a deal. Like many companies, there is no customer loyalty, they want the maximum money out of you for minimum service. Time to port your number to giffgaff, same o2 network and less money.

@PeterCrouchPod got me thinking! My loyalty to @VodafoneUK is being abused. Their charge increase is #phoneshithousery & for a 5 phone family with me being 20 years in maybe time for a change #onenetworkplayer 3 phones out of contract - where do i go? Is @giffgaff the solution?

@FyrFrames @DoesItPlay1 This is the part I don't understand. I am on a pay as you go with Giffgaff and mine worked, he's on the same pay as you go deal as mine, his doesn't work ๐Ÿคท

@MoistKritikal51 @TheNorfolkLion I managed to get a 256gb pixel 10a from giffgaff for ยฃ400 + ยฃ10 rolling monthly contract which I will cancel. Sold out at the minute. Not sure when they will be getting them back in stock but may be worth keeping a check on their site if you live in the UK.
