@stevegoodman @tomarbuthnot @VodafoneUK Agree on Vodafone being shocking. They are my ISP and they recently wrote to say they are putting up prices by way above inflation whilst my service is still worse than with previous ISP. Even so, I don't think I can get Wi-Fi calling with my mobile provider (giffgaff) either 😢

@puncharama Yikes. Within your phone connection settings, you'll be able to change the network mode, to not include 5G service if you want this switched off. - giffgaff Jeanette

@CSG1973 @emmamrevell @CharlotteCGill Definitely buy your own router, don’t take out a deal with your network. Try out different sims before taking out a contract. Three is cheap, but not great. If o2 is good in your area, look at Tesco or giffgaff, which use o2 network

@giffgaff I wish there was a phone number I could call and solve this issue straight away instead of going back and forward on social media

@EatSleepCycle @rogermerriman Other 1/2 uses iphone5c, 2nd hand about 3 yrs ago off giffgaff. New battery (ebay), wasn't 100% confident to fit but worked. Gets frustrated by apps which don't work on old phones. Didn't know Whatsapp is stopping - that may be a problem too far - family and friend connections.

@giffgaff Okay I was just trying to Vito f to attention the potential fraud element. I’m not a Barclays or giffgaff customer but some people could be both.

@englishpaulm I have a US SIM card from T-Mobile and a UK one from giffgaff. The latter is easy to use, cheap, and I never ever get spam calls. Not enough consumer-centric rules on US carriers when it comes to mobile networks

@giffgaff I did yes and had no signal for 24 hours. I have just manually joined a network instead of automatic and it appears to be working now. Network called "I TIM". I hope this is correct? I will use this and see if it works everywhere I go. Thanks
