@foamcow @benlumley Well its O2’s radio network but the image compression would be in the Mobile Data core and IIRC GiffGaff doesn’t share that with O2 they have their own

Gotta love @giffgaff ‘s help page - our data coverage sucks in your area, so, yeah… use someone’s wifi. So why am I paying you for data??? Got this sim as a trial to see how it went but after the problems on holiday and now no data in the largest city in Scotland… not good.

I have no issue with 2FA, I welcome it with open arms. Unfortunately SMS is far from secure to start with and limits functionality. Give me a token any day. So many apps to use, Google, Authy, Yubikey. @giffgaff failed massively here.

Does anyone know if you can preorder a pay-as-you-go SIM card to use in Spain (ie get it sent to a US address)? @Giffgaff does this for UK. Trying to help a friend travelling outside of North America for the first time.

@stuartdan88 We're a pay and go company Danny, so you won't be signed into any contract. If you're with a different network, you can simply put this SIM into the phone. If the giffgaff SIM remains inactive, no further charges will apply. - giffgaff Jeanette

@giffgaff lost child's phone, easy to deactivate. Sent new SIM, activated it and the now found phone doesn't work. What is wrong??
