@foamcow @benlumley Well its O2’s radio network but the image compression would be in the Mobile Data core and IIRC GiffGaff doesn’t share that with O2 they have their own

@giffgaff so dpd @DPDgroup_news have admitted my new phone is lost and I updated the agent chat yesterday at lunchtime but no response. I appreciate you're busy but I would like this resolved especially when seeing other customers having similar problems and being ignored. 1/2

@giffgaff My current phone contract with Vodafone ends on 5th Feb. I wanted to give 30 days notice get a pack code and come over to giff gaff. But they're telling me if I give 30 days notice they'll just cancel my number but won't give me a pac code

Lisa (@Myers_Helper) reported
@giffgaff In an ideal world vodaphone should give a pac code. But after speaking to 3 different customer service advisers this is definitely not going to happen so I'll need a new number

@giffgaff this might be a stupid question but how long does it take to activate a sim card as we've bought a data package but still can't use it away from WiFi?

@Messsingh @MartinSLewis That's because iD Mobile uses the Three network. Try someone like giffgaff which is on the much better O2 network.

Anyone know what 3 phone network is like? I’m currently on giffgaff but signal is shite, especially round Goodison when I can’t contact anyone at all. Signal map on 3 website looks good but wondering if anyone can give any advice/recommendations 👍🏼

@Kevjarm Hi Kevin. It can take up to 24 hours from activation for your services to be fully up and running. During this time we recommend that you reboot your phone off and on again a few times, to help speed this up - giffgaff Jade

@giffgaff Thanks for your super quick answer. Sorry, I meant for the monthly rolling SIM only goodybag rather than the payg one. Does that mean on the monthly rolling one there will never be extra costs? (Can’t accidentally use more data etc and get extra charges) or just on payg? Thanks
