@ScoutLouise3 @HSBC_UK Same here. After fruitlessly clicking on links which don't work on their ridiculous app, desktop site says I have to WRITE TO THEM to get the info I need. I do online banking FFS so I don't have to write to anyone! Well played, @HSBC_UK for losing a 20 year-long customer.

Resetting an @HSBC_UK mobile banking app password is going to take me all day. It really shouldn’t be this hard, esp when your competitors can do it without a problem and without the need for a looooong call to a call centre.

@StewartMitchell @HSBC_UK It's probably just one of many factors that on their own would not cause a failure to login/use the account, but if enough of these fail then there is a good chance something dodgy going on and they would like to ask for further checks or manually verify it's the account holder

Don’t you love it when your bank can just turn off your access to your own money because you weren’t able to sit on hold for longer than 3 hours whilst abroad for work? @HSBC_UK your fraud dept need to modernise and get on chat. Increasing interest rates finally might help too!

@HSBC_UK Is there an issue with your phone lines? Trying to get through to reset my online banking password after your app updated and deleted the saved password/Face ID. On hold forever and finally got through to a silent line. It should not be this difficult to reset a password

Love how @chase_uk don’t charge for withdrawing cash via a @Chase ATM in the US - they treat you like you are a customer of the same bank! Shame @HSBC_UK can’t do the same (and offer better FX rates!)
