    @HSBC_UK Did this, and you still can't close the account. Instead, was redirected to the useless options on your site. Again. Utterly pointless to contact you on here if you are unable to action the most basic of tasks, either. Another huge waste of time.

    @HSBC_UK That’s the exact reason I was trying to call daily for over a week to no avail. Over 30 years banking with HSBC the service is now an all time low. Will be considering a total change not just for savings!!!

    @HSBC_UK Your chat support is abysmal. All I am trying to do is close a zeroed out Flex Saver account and they can't manage that much. Why have you removed the option to private message via the dashboard? I refuse to spend hours on hold on the phone for such a basic task!

    @HSBC_UK Who else is getting NO response from HSBC from either their complaints department or their service departments? Trying to invest for 6 weeks with INVEST direct - now taking my funds elsewhere - please AVOID

    @HSBC_UK the WORST bank I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Business account locked since 19th Dec; no access to funds despite still taking money in. Daily phone calls, keep being told different updates from agents. Beyond ridiculous - how do you expect us to operate??

    @HSBC_UK Spoken with BMS who will speak with Lloyds however I will still appreciate some time so I will call as I would like to search for as much help to tackle this dire problem for me & so many others - it’s disgusting, this week has been detrimental to my health it’s sad it’s allowed!

    I believe @HSBC_UK @HSBC (I am sure it’s not just #hsbc) don’t really care because it’s such a pain to close your account and open a new one but not hanging on any longer, an hour and half waiting for an agent to help me give the bank business is too long for me #accountclosing

    Turns out @AskNationwide decided to tell @HSBC_UK to close down my account over the Christmas period during @RoyalMail strikes, and now can’t do anything about it. Useless.
