Why is customer service now so rubbish @HSBC_UK ? 45 minutes hanging on the phone before it clicks off. You're closing dozens of local branches. There is no one to talk to. Why would anyone keep their account with you any more? I've had mine 50 years wonder why.

37 years a customer @HSBC_UK : "Yes, we asked an impossible-to-answer security Q that locked you out of your account for a month, despite a branch visit, and took 10 days to write you a letter: sorry, £100 max compensation, unless you can show documented material loss."

@HSBC_UK over 40 mins waiting to speak to an agent and STILL waiting. Get out of the 90s. This is unacceptable. I voiced the same issue through twitter last week, radio silence from HSBC!!
