Bloody technology: with banks closing branches so the personal service has almost completely gone I was shunted onto the @HSBC_UK app and it took ages for me to get used to it. Now they’ve changed it again and stupidly on a Sun sq my 🪐 day I’ve tried it for the first time FFS 🤬

@HSBC_UK send me a letter about my persistent overdraft asking to call urgently so you “can help”. Most obvious would be reducing 39.9% interest. Apparently this is impossible, but you will setup a payment arrangement that will register on my credit file! How is that helping?!

@HSBC_UK another iPhone Beta, another broken HSBC app. I’ve not got a single app that crashes besides yours. Every year the same deal. Why has this not been resolved? This is madness.

@HSBC_UK I have never received such a poor customer service in my life. Dispute still not resolved. I have been waiting 4 months for any contact with you. Have tried again today to get help. What do I have to do to get this resolved. Lost total faith in you @HSBC_UK

@THERussellGrant @HSBC_UK I share your exasperation, Russell, although my bank is different to yours. As you say, the personal service is almost completely gone. There's little, if any, regard for the impact on customers. Less still any understanding of its pivotal importance. I'm on my soap box now.

@HSBC_UK I have been advised that as an UK Pensioner living in South Africa I can open an online UK Bank account and have my pension paid into it. However the website application does not seem to allow this...
