Trying to make an appointment with my bank. Website said to phone. Automatic phone service said to use the website. Thanks, @HSBC_UK, that's really helpful. 🙄 (Eventually managed to speak to someone and she was very nice, BTW.)

Why is customer service now so rubbish @HSBC_UK ? 45 minutes hanging on the phone before it clicks off. You're closing dozens of local branches. There is no one to talk to. Why would anyone keep their account with you any more? I've had mine 50 years wonder why.

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I feel your pain with HSBC. Other week, had internet nonsense because after internet nonsense messed up an original internet nonsense error. (If you follow). Same with my mobile phone provider. Decades of loyalty to now be speaking to a robot!

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I had the same experience with NatWest rude unhelpful staff 2hrs on the phone passed to 5 different staff 3 different departments and they still wouldn't help my 83 yr old dad with with a very basic request ! Yet they make billions #natwest @NatWest_Help

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I had the same with Halifax, you couldn’t contact them, and they closed all their branches making it impossible to be able to contact them. If you went into the only branch in the city, you couldn’t speak to anyone you had to book online, but you couldn’t book app online crazy.

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK Been with them for a Looong time. If I need help I call the number, enter my security info & pretty soon I’m speaking to someone. Always found them really helpful. Got an “Advance” account so wondering if it’s based upon your account type?
