@legalclaret @HSBC_UK @ImIncorrigible That's not the reason, even though the whole idea is silly. It's about the an employee of Halifax telling people who didn't agree, to close their account. Might as well have said "don't like it, **** off", cause that's how it comes across.

@Rebecca32940344 @HSBC_UK It’s because an awful lot of EU citizens, with lovely manners, an understanding of customer service ethic and, frequently, better spoken English than native born Brits, have gone home. I wonder why they did that.

@ArabellaSock @HSBC_UK Yes it's adversarial, I have been doing similar transfers with Chase this week and whilst the payments have been flagged for checks their process is comfortable as a customer your not left feeling like a criminal, its quite remarkable how bad HSBC are.
