The decision on the debates should be made by an independent panel...and if Johnson and Corbyn have a problem with what the panel suggests an empty chair can always fill in for them.

This rates along with the comments Quentin Letts made about Paula Radcliffe in the Daily Mail after she retired from the Olympic marathon. We switched to the Times in disgust after that. Letts now writes for the Times...heaven help us. I already watch ITV news for more balance.

No adverts normally increases quality, without the anchor of the Beeb, they would sell more and more advertising, meaning less quality. @GMB @ITV My dad was in hospital for 5 months fighting the aftermath of sepsis. We had no celebrity help, no help at all no book deal to pay for help. We work everyday to "bring our dad back" many people are fighting life changing illness...its tough for all,we have to be positive!

@GMB @ITV It's important for ITV, GMB and Kate to disclose any fee is payable for the doc, as with the likely book. Many people feel their relatives were not able to get the same resources. Perhaps a donation to NHS charity to help support hard working staff, not profit from it

@kategarraway @ITV I am troubled about whether this is respectful of this poor man's privacy. I know I would be heart broken if my next of kin made such a documentary. I'm wondering where the hospital stand in terms of confidentiality. Total sympathy for the family but not sure this was right.
