The decision on the debates should be made by an independent panel...and if Johnson and Corbyn have a problem with what the panel suggests an empty chair can always fill in for them.

This rates along with the comments Quentin Letts made about Paula Radcliffe in the Daily Mail after she retired from the Olympic marathon. We switched to the Times in disgust after that. Letts now writes for the Times...heaven help us. I already watch ITV news for more balance.

@CameronYardeJnr So an extra subscription to watch old BBC and ITV series and with the poor quality of last season of dr who and what they done with hercule Poirot cant justify an extra subscription especially with the quality of sky and netflix

Can’t help feeling for @HollieA2012 @imacelebrity it’s awful being the first out - last nights trial was tough as she explained herself. I think @itv perhaps pushed others & there were less edited highlights of Hollie who is also less well known - however we thought she was great

No adverts normally increases quality, without the anchor of the Beeb, they would sell more and more advertising, meaning less quality. @GMB @ITV @julie_etch The police culture has always been an issue. Whether it’s an issue with women, race or religion. The police is a boys club and the whole service needs a review. This is not a new problem we just seem to circle on one issue and focus on that whilst forgetting about the others!

@GMB @Lemar @ITV I used 2 work in pub - LOVED IT. I tee-total & looked fwd 2 having a great laugh at ppls drunken jokes, I chose 2 take clumsy chat up lines as a compliment. Drunken violence unacceptable but if things were getting OTT we simply threw them out. This will kill what trade remains.
