  BREAKING: UK telecom regulator Ofcom confirms Starlink is a viable broadband alternative under the UK’s 10 Mbps Broadband USO rules. 🇬🇧 • Ofcom confirmed this directly to UK broadband publication ISPreview. • This means that if affordable Starlink service is available at a property, it may no longer qualify for a USO connection from BT or KCOM. • Some applicants have already been refused a USO connection because Starlink was available. • Back in May, Ofcom said cheaper Starlink plans helped reduce the number of premises without affordable decent broadband to around 4,000.   @JellyTotPixel @HullMichelle75 @JanPurling From my experience working with the engineering team across KCOM yes it can take upto two weeks they aren’t in no hurry the HU8 outage at the end of last year took that long but most only take 2-3 days

  @bt_uk No, we moved to Hull so we can now only get @kcom but we desperately want BT to bring a service to Hull that way we could actually get a whole weeks worth of internet. I don’t even bother switching Wi-Fi on my @ee phone I just use my data 🙄
