@AskNationwide The issue is the contactless phone payments not the card. I rarely carry cards now. Doesn't look like there is an answer to this at present other than always carrying card and phone. Makes Samsung and Google pay pointless as a result

@AskNationwide I've tried before. They just say no block on card..I appreciate security is important but often I end up using another providers card and just transfer the money

@AskNationwide Come on now. So all these merchants are the problem but they accept my bank of Scotland debit card and santander one no problem. The problem is most definitely with yourselves

@AskNationwide I'm having frequent problems with Google pay and my registered flex account card which is declined every 6th transaction. Is this normal given we have to use this multiple times a day. For small amounts nowhere near the £100 limit

@AskNationwide Thank you for taking the time to reply. So, if I try and make any purchase on Coinbase, Nationwide will just block the transaction automatically? I apologise if I am asking a lot of questions - but I want to be sure of everything. Appreciate your help a lot.

Congratulations to @AskNationwide who decided to lock me out of my account on a day when their customer service is closed so I can't even get hold of anyone to find out why or rectify the situation. That's ok, I didn't need those groceries anyway 🤷

@AskNationwide Wonderful service from the Nationwide Marlborough branch today who sorted out the mess caused by broken back office processes. Sad that my reason for going to see them was a pain point, and not a new opportunity 🥲

@aktheknight @edent @AskNationwide Yeah, they're generally pretty meh. It took them forever to support contactless and Android Pay, they have a very shaky understanding of the direct debit guarantee and the online bank is straight out of 2005. Only with them out of inertia but I really should switch
