  • steph_ashford Stephanie Ashford (@steph_ashford) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@AskNationwide Hello. I think there's a problem with the deposit slot on the external machine at your South St Andrew Street, Edinburgh branch. I've had a cheque and notes returned, bunched up, twice over the last 2 weeks.

  • 44dbarc David Barclay (@44dbarc) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@AskNationwide I'm having frequent problems with Google pay and my registered flex account card which is declined every 6th transaction. Is this normal given we have to use this multiple times a day. For small amounts nowhere near the £100 limit

  • Beleza_Rach Rachael Santangelo (@Beleza_Rach) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@AskNationwide Come on now. So all these merchants are the problem but they accept my bank of Scotland debit card and santander one no problem. The problem is most definitely with yourselves

  • Beleza_Rach Rachael Santangelo (@Beleza_Rach) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@AskNationwide I've tried before. They just say no block on card..I appreciate security is important but often I end up using another providers card and just transfer the money

  • 44dbarc David Barclay (@44dbarc) reported from Kirkcaldy, Scotland

@AskNationwide The issue is the contactless phone payments not the card. I rarely carry cards now. Doesn't look like there is an answer to this at present other than always carrying card and phone. Makes Samsung and Google pay pointless as a result

@AskNationwide hi there I am opening a nationwide instant access saver account . I need to be able to pay in cash/cheque in branch every now and again do I need a cash card to do this? If so can I still open the account on line . Many thanks!

  • chadders92 Anna Chadwick (@chadders92) reported

@AskNationwide Thanks Liz, it’s regarding Early Repayment Charges in relation to when I pay my mortgage each month and when it expires. I have also tried using the chat function on the website and appear to have been disconnected from that too.

  • neural_jam Paul 'Jam' (@neural_jam) reported

@AskNationwide So the person who eventually picked up was very helpful, but perhaps you need to recruit more staff to man the lines? The mortgage adviser not replying is still a problem - hopefully I'm going to complete soon so it won't be an issue for me, but you may want to look at that.

  • TonyCullinane Tony Cullinane (@TonyCullinane) reported

@AskNationwide Hi Laura, I don't think calling your standard Helpline will be of any help to me, and I don't have time to spend on the phone. Are you aware that your App doesn't work?

  • Miss_Tovey Paulette (@Miss_Tovey) reported

@AskNationwide She has sent me an email saying: 'Nationwide have advised due to their extended service levels due to an influx of applications, it is in the queue to be assessed and is due back Monday 18th July'

  • StephWillis87 Stephanie Willis (@StephWillis87) reported

@AskNationwide is there a problem with mobile banking? I keep getting a message saying there are technical difficulties and it’s been over 24 hours.

  • VHeselton Vicki Heselton (@VHeselton) reported

@AskNationwide unbelievable poor service. Been waiting on phone to speak to someone nearly 2 hours. Cut off twice. Existing customer abysmal service

  • reknott Richard Stephens-Knott (@reknott) reported

@AskNationwide Yes, we used an advisor. Everyone has gone home now. Doesn’t help me at all.

  • elissia_james Elissia James (@elissia_james) reported

@AskNationwide Yes, it doesn’t work either. Just says theres a service issue, even trying to increase by at little as £10 doesn’t work. It’s not working on a few of the student accounts of those in 3rd year also

  • elissia_james Elissia James (@elissia_james) reported

@AskNationwide Yes, I’ve tried on the website, the app, over the phone and in branch and no one can seem to help or know why its occurring
