@RevdCharles @AskNationwide Good guess. No, I know what it is, and they do it every few years so that our end date doesn’t come early. Profits before principles. Or “computer error” as they call it!

Andrew Harmsworth FRAS 😷 (@harmsy) reported from Oakington and Westwick, England
Interest rate has gone up on our @AskNationwide mortgage, so of course our monthly payment has gone *down* £74 per month. Interest rates should go UP more often please! I think their software has a bug…

@AskNationwide @KeithClyde69 You can't put a timescale on a fix yet your text about there not being enough funds in my account tells me I have to rectify that by 2.30pm! 1 rule for you and another for us so called "valued" customers.

Fabienne Gilbert (@FabienneGilb) reported
@AskNationwide These tweets are just becoming condescending now! Yeah okay direct debits will still go out but oh look at the big problem we seem to have... We need our money in our accounts to pay them! This is not a new problem for you, when can we have some real answers?

Dolby (@DolbyHyena) reported
There are 3 constants in life, change, choice, and @AskNationwide online banking going down on payday.

-
Nadine Burress (@nadinecliffe) reported
@AskNationwide @gemnewbs82 Ok you may not be able to give us a time but can you tell us what the technical problem is? This is my only day off this week and needed to pay my bills today as I work 7.30-6. Most places are 9-5 so by the time I get home I still can’t phone up and pay!
-
Stuart J. Yaxley (@AxeLeeii) reported
@AskNationwide So how do you "fix" a drop in my credit score because I can't pay a bill?
-
Ben Ephgrave (@ephgrave_ben) reported
@AskNationwide when this problem persists over several months, you dont have a ‘technical issue’ you have a serious problem. What good are you if your customers can not access their money? #banking101 #Nationwide

Charlotte (@Its_Charli86) reported
@AskNationwide I do but I do not have any money and no one I can ask for help from. This really is awful for people how live month to month, who rely on getting there money. I saw people replied to me who are without electric. A reason would be the least nationwide could do now

Cycling Dad (MAMIL) (@CyclingDad74) reported
@Sam_Mayo_Mason @longdickjohnsin @AskNationwide all the while trying to put a shine on it by saying that direct debits and standing orders aren't affected. No problem taking money out...
-
Hannah J Burrows (@hannahjburrows) reported
@AskNationwide No point all other services working properly if my wages can’t be paid in.
