    @AskNationwide very unhelpful attitude at your branch in Orpington today when one of your employees refused to certify a copy of my driving licence “because you are a building society and not a bank”. Too many blunders lately. You’re about to lose a customer.

    @AskNationwide Different wisdom back then (Before it became Nationwide). Mortgages were a max of 80% (75% preferred) and only 2.5x salary. And the list of property types they wouldn't lend on was LONG! He ran the HO branch in High Holborn working for Sir Herbert Ashworth. So long ago now.
