@AskNationwide My point is simply why aren't new customers advised that they have to wait 7 working days before registering for online banking? I have received everything you referred to yet wasted 26 minutes trying futilely to register for Internet banking.

@AskNationwide The updated Service Status Notice says: "We can’t accept payments into your account at the moment. Payments sent from your account are in a queue". WTAF? Will anyone receive their pay? Since you've all gone home what's being done right now to sort this out?

@AskNationwide I have a business bank account with @ANNAMoneyUK. When they had a problem with a payment provider they emailed several times in the first 24 hours and kept us informed. The @AskNationwide are keeping us in the dark.

@AskNationwide @monsoon4691 Tajand Nikita…which one of you is right and which is wrong? Taj you are saying the issue still exists and you don’t know when it will be resolved..Nikita, you are saying payments are being processed and the backlog will take ‘several hours’ to get through!!!

A rather predictable Twitter pile on for @AskNationwide. Having worked in IT for another bank a number of years back, and being under the cosh to resolve various unexpected service outages, I know they’ll be working above and beyond to fix it.
