@BeckettUnite I think the government probably would but billionaires down leave cash sat in NatWest like the rest of us, it’s invested in shell companies or hidden offshore, to tax it you must first find it

@firstdirect I've already tried that! I've referred my complaint to the financial ombudsman, as we speak I'm switching to Natwest. I don't want to be with a company who doesn't give a **** about customers, says things like "we're not at liberty to disclose that to you" - it's my information!!

NatWest can afford to keep branches open for those who want access across Wales. Their profits in the 51% publicly-owned bank for last year amounted to almost £4.3BN. They distributed £3.8BN to shareholders. Their (in their words, restrained!) bonus pool this year is £298M.

@Mr_Chmiel NatWest seem to be more accepting of our situation (ie my temp contract). Decision in principle no problem, though obviously that’s not in any way a guarantee. Nationwide said my income wouldn’t count but my expenses would! 🙄Hoping to get an appt with an independent advisor soon

Natwest fired an employee because she had surgery for colon cancer. Imagine being this type of a **** to fire someone because they had the nerve to have cancer. The £2M compensation should help her though and I'm sure other banks will jump at the chance to hire her.
