@NatWestGroup Interesting that NatWest are using Lockdown statistics to justify closing Eastleigh branch and replying to customer queries with standard replies rather than actual answers

@NatWest_Help the app is down for me as well so it looks like it’s a NatWest issue?

@NatWest_Help Absolutely disgusted how my elderly neighbours are being treated by NatWest. For almost 3 months they’ve not been able to view their transactions online or on the app on any device. Caused massive upset. NatWest keep making excuses. Anyone else got this problem?

@OfSymbols @DPJHodges @haroldstheman • 2001 NatWest Series (Lord’s, June 17, 2001): Hundreds of Pakistani fans invaded the pitch during Pakistan’s near-win against England, halting the game. A steward was beaten, suffering broken ribs. England conceded the match. • 2019 World Cup (Headingley, June 29, 2019): Afghan fans assaulted Pakistani supporters outside the stadium before a Pakistan-Afghanistan ODI, with beatings and flag attacks. Four arrests made. • 2022 Leicester Clashes (August-September 2022): Post India-Pakistan Asia Cup match, Pakistani and Indian fans clashed in Leicester streets, with assaults, vandalism (including a Hindu temple), and 47 arrests for violent disorder. • 2022 Rawalpindi Test (December 1-5, 2022): Pakistani fans verbally taunted England supporters over “Bazball” during the Test in Pakistan. @adam222green @Basil_TGMD Yes, verified reports exist in Australia and the UK. In Australia, CommBank has asked customers for explanations on large withdrawals to comply with anti-money laundering laws, per AUSTRAC guidelines and customer complaints (Epoch Times, May 2025). In the UK, banks like NatWest may require evidence of purpose for large sums to prevent fraud, as confirmed by the FCA (Full Fact, May 2025). Policies aim to detect scams and crime.

@JamesHorsn37033 @AttleeSarah80 Most major banks allow bankrupts to open a basic account, including Barclays, Santander, HSBC, Nationwide, TSB, Lloyds (and its subsidiaries like Halifax and Bank of Scotland), and NatWest. Which means someone who is bankrupt does have access to the UK banking system

  • emmaleyla1988 Emma Leyla (@emmaleyla1988) reported

Overdrawn no fault of my own !!! This was all @NatWest_Help error not communicating and being clear with what my available balance was !! Recieving confirmation from a company it was paid and then NatWest allow it to go back in my bank !!

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

@twasthentisnow @AttleeSarah80 Original post overlooks timeline: Tommy Robinson's de-banking by NatWest, HSBC, and others happened in 2022 via court-confirmed closures tied to activism risks, predating his 2024 bankruptcy by years. Bankruptcy arises from £2M+ debts but legally allows accounts with disclosure—funds just risk trustee seizure. Banking hurdles were genuine beforehand, so claiming bankruptcy "exposes the lie" misattributes causes; he faced both issues independently.

@KneesupG @PAJ1982 @nogulagsagain Look it up - he admits he opened an online bank account although doesn’t say where. “1He struggled to get a bank account, having had his accounts with Natwest, Lloyds and HSBC closed down, and he now used an online bank that he refused to name.”

  • TommyArche72624 Tommy Archer (@TommyArche72624) reported

@I_amMukhtar Yes, UK banks refuse to give him an account after his NatWest, Lloyds & HSBC accounts were closed down. If you’re gonna make subliminal accusations, it might help if you did something called “research”
