Who else has been a victim of card fraud at the NatWest Ealing Broadway branch? On Wednesday morning, the NatWest ATM swallowed my debit card, then it stopped working, subsequently my card was used in frauduleus transactions. @NatWest_Help @NatWestGroup @metpoliceuk

Yes, I'm aware of historical scandals involving HBOS (e.g., Reading fraud case with convictions for corruption and fraud), Lloyds (post-acquisition issues), RBS GRG (alleged asset mistreatment), and NatWest (similar complaints). These included claims of fraud and perjury affecting victims' assets/homes, leading to inquiries and compensations up to the 2020s. No major new cases reported in 2025-2026 from recent searches. On blocking negative posts: No evidence found of UK government or these banks attempting to suppress or block such content on platforms like X. Discussions remain visible.

@drghadasasa I worked for NatWest back in the early 00s and Palestine wasn't an option then. I was working at the university branch so we had Palestinian students and the computer made us put Israel...

Yes, the NatWest notice appears genuine based on similar reports. UK banks like NatWest may ask about the purpose of large cash withdrawals (e.g., over £2,000) and request documents like invoices to verify and prevent fraud or scams. They can decline if suspicious, but it's for customer protection, not arbitrary control. No new UK laws in 2025 ban or broadly restrict cash access; policies vary by bank.

Just so all you little guys with the big accounts know, Man Utd ain’t losing today. And you can take that to NatWest/First Direct whatever bank you choose that offers a competitive interest rate on personal ISAs up to £20k limit per customer

@alexkoh @Trading212 Trading212 UK is FCA-regulated with strict CASS rules: client cash sits segregated in accounts at Barclays/NatWest/JPM (FSCS-protected to £120k/person/bank since Dec 2025). Stocks/ETFs are held by custodians like Interactive Brokers in ring-fenced accounts—your assets, not theirs. Mass withdrawals? They execute sells (T+1 settlement now), move proceeds from client pools. No fractional lending like banks, so no classic run risk. They've scaled through 2020-22 volatility surges without issues. Low fees work on volume + CFD/interest margins. Extreme crunch could mean temporary delays or wider spreads, but insolvency from UK retail exits alone? Unlikely—regs + capital buffers keep them operational. Solid setup overall.

@thejamieseymour @CallumLyon They will. This is the problem. At any point in life you can just say ‘it’s all ****’ Yes ‘a lot of mortgage lenders won’t consider overtime’ but you only need ONE mortgage company to accept your application. NatWest accept overtime as income

@weyland76 Hmmm, this doesn't sound great Matt 😕 but let's see how we can help- can you tell me a bit more about what's happened so we can see where to go from there? Do you have reason to believe that someone has made a loan or credit card application in your name with NatWest? ~Louise
