I am mentioning it as I know a lot of other Natwest/RBS customers having this problem - of legitimate payments made to this specific savings account being blocked

Seems like after 25 mins they automatically cut off & you never get same person again. Ended up explaining problem 23 times. Infuriating.

I've just rung Natwest and apparently there's some fairly new regulations for large payments which has left some retailers needing to update their payment systems so they can process credit card payments.
