@br1t1shpatr10t I don't know how anybody still bank's with NatWest. They closed my account down in 2020 and the man on the phone say "you're spending and sending too much money" insisted I needed a business account to move my own personal money.

My reply 'Rachel. I need to use the car charger! How do i get home?! It has now been 3 1/2 hours. Get a few bits and set off down the motorway with the bag?! You will not tell me what 'policy' , effectively my card is still blocked due to your 'policy', u deny me access to my own money. Esoecially disgusting is that one of the people i spoke to at natwest when asked if i was an old lady or someone in a wheelchair was told that natwest would do nothing for them either. That is appalling. And the promised call back from a manager Hasnt happened of course.'

@NatWest_Help Natwest please respond to this! Just sent this to Natwest... I need some urgent help. Earlier today you did one of those transaction check texts to which i replied Y. It was for a sandwich from Gregga I later tried to use my card to charge my car at marks and spencer. It was declined several times. I telephoned natwest and was told the card would work. I went in marks and spencer and again my card was declined several times. I have apoken to 5 people at natwest. Have been told several times the card would work but it wouldnt. I was then told by natwest staff it was nothing i had done and there was nothing suspicious on my account. It was a 'bank policy' but they could/would not tell me what policy. So i have done nothing wrong, my card allegedly isnt blocked but m@s took my food off me and i am now sat in the car park unable to charge my car or get home. I have been asked if there is a Tesco near. I have no idea. You want me to walk down the motorway?!!! I am now stranded. I asked the natwest staff if i was a little old lady or disabled person would they leave me stranded? I was told yes. Please advise what i do!!!!! This was the reply... 5:39 pm Hi Matthew. I appreciate it’s not ideal to be faced with this, especially when needing to charge your car to get home, so I do completely understand your frustration. Just to be honest with you, if a payment has been declined due to bank policy, there wouldn’t be anything we can do to override this sadly. The Bank has mechanisms in place to protect you from transactions that may have been classified as high risk. Due to the quantity and pace of transactions that are made on a daily basis, Bank Policies are constantly needing to adjust due to Industry trends. And as a result, transactions that were previously approved now may be declined. We are unable to provide specific details of the policy itself, nor can we say if this will always be the case. The Bank has these policies in place purely to keep yourself and your money safe and secure. Would you have access to another card you could use to make the payment from in the meantime? ~Emma I replied 5:55 pm No. Its the only card i have. Im stranded No reply from natwest 6:07 pm What kind of company is this?! 6:17 pm I am stranded because of natwest. Please do not ignore me 6:19 pm ? Still no reply and funnily enough no promised call back from anyone at natwest. This is appalling

@AndrewDowson @peggy_stu @JimRoyleJnr Natwest: I once forgot to date an employees pay cheque. They paid, then took back the money causing a mortgage payment to bounce. They charged me a large fee. I said I would canvass business friends to guage other banks. No, please don't do that Mr Hayes. Problem solved.

@bbctms They were definitely right.. A test match 100 is always special and no one would want to not score one.. I remember an England Captain who was so desperate to score a 100 in an ODI that his slow down nearing his century end up costing his team the natwest trophy

· 1dPrem Sikka @premnsikka.bsky.social NatWest to give further £1.5bn to shareholders weeks after UK govt sold the final part of its stake in the bailed-out bank. Govt bailed it out for £45bn. After rescue, sold shares at £10.5bn loss. Now bonanza for shareholders. City always wins. People get cuts higher taxes, benefit/service cuts.

@shellenberger I live in the UK, my bank (Natwest) just refused me access to my own money and stopped me transferring money to a family relative. It told them it was a gift but they said it "sounded suspious" and declined the transaction. They refused to tell me how I can get it approved.
