However signing up requires a code to be received by text, this goes to the iPad which can’t receive texts! How can this be a sensible system? Is the only solution to put the SIM in a phone?

"You just need to top it up" No problem. How was I supposed to do that?! Did you read the initial message? Ridiculous.

The upgrade offer is only valid for 72hrs and I have no intention of going through all that again because it takes you 5 days to fix an error you made.
