I wish @O2 would sort out the mast near me instead of texting me every other day that “they’re still working on the issue” 😤 A week without sufficient data and it’s not like my contract is cheap

@O2 why is the line my 12 year old son has (in my name but never given out to ANY business etc) now receiving government texts for boosters? Is this not against GDPR guidelines? I haven’t agreed to my details being passed on for this purpose!

@O2 Thanks. How do we unsubscribe from this ****? We pay for 5 contracts and do not wish to receive these messages particularly on children’s phones.

@O2 just received a reminder about my data usage in the EU, to be fair the o2 service is so bad now that I have not being able to use even 1gb in a week. Useless

@PercyTheCat8 @O2 The government sends a blanket HTTP request to the network to contact all numbers on their network with the same message. No personal data held by the network is shared to the government, it is a mass message service. GDPR doesn’t come into it.

@O2 Ok, but help@me out here before I speak to them, is it mandatory or law for a company to say they are using premium rate phone numbers in their communications with consumers/customers?
