@BBCBenThompson actually spoke with @Plusnet yesterday as I was out of contact paying over the odds asked if I could have the "new customer" deal was basically told no even though I have been a customer for many years. So I've cancelled for a cheaper deal. #nodiscountforloyalty

Today a TalkTalk fanboy happy with their contract being broken told me that the only ISPs in the UK are TalkTalk, Sky, Plusnet, BT, Vodafone and Virgin Came as a bit of a surprise to me, and loads of friends I know in the industry are presumably part of some elaborate tax scam

@pollymackenzie As for subbing the WiFi hub, again this is easy. Might need to write a few numbers down from setup page of existing one, and copy them over, but probably all auto these days. Strictly speaking routers and hubs are different but often in one box. I have a Plusnet 2-box setup.

@Plusnet quoting award winning customer service... not in my case. Been absolutely dreadful so far and I’m only a week in! Constant barriers to closing the contract and passed from pillar to post. Customer service abysmal.

@Bexdora @Plusnet Aw Bex this is a nightmare and @Plusnet sound rubbish. I was w/o internet for a week last month and totally appreciate just how isolating and disconnecting that is not to mention totally impractical. They should provide some compensation for such a shoddy service xx
