Travelling need to redirect mail from a temporary address at end of redirecting period on line @PostOffice and @RoyalMail #CustomerService appalling can’t help me complete waste of time

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice No problem. Adding to my earlier point, the last posting date for surface to USA/Canada was more than 2 weeks ago. If the customer wanted to send Xmas cards that way, it wouldn't have got there until after Xmas/January. May be worth bearing in mind before talking to that branch.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice @ellaloui_se Surely it depends on what the stated weight, actual weight and service used is? EG. If the parcel was 2nd class and both stated weight and actual weight were in the right price bracket (for example both under 2kg), would it actually matter as the price would be the same anyway?

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@_EmmaBeswick @PostOffice I may be able to help you out. A tracking no. would only be available on International Tracked & Signed or International Tracked services. Usually the tracking no. would start with RN or LB or similar. The French courier would be La Poste.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice You sure about that? Seeing as I work in a PO that also does the Check & Send service. The help pages on Horizon, combined with the training workbook and the booklet supplied with the form directly contradicts your statement. Even when renewing online, they still ask for photos.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice I only jumped in to that thread as you were implying to the customer that it was possible to do such a thing when every counter clerk in the country will tell you the exact opposite. Unless, by postage labels, you meant buying postage labels online which would annoy all clerks.

@PostieMcPost @RoyalMailHelp @PostOffice I can certainly understand your frustration. As it stands, my custom for this type of service is heading elsewhere, that have convenient drop off points. Sure I'm not the only one.

  • siany_d Siân Davis (@siany_d) reported

  • simonscholes77 How To 9 x Your Social Media (@simonscholes77) reported from Smannell, England

Atrocious service at local @PostOffice as for cheapest 2nd class postage. Tried to tell me cheapest service was £15 on something and when questioned miraculously found a service for £8. How is that OK, if I’d not questioned it I’d have paid well over the odds.

  • bill_banksy Bill Banks (@bill_banksy) reported from Bromley, England

@PostOffice @RoyalMailHelp @RoyalMail The last 2 parcels I’ve sent have been stolen or lost. These were dropped off at the post office and never reached their destination. They never left your possession so have been stolen or lost by your staff.

  • tlsouthe Tracy (@tlsouthe) reported

@PostOffice why don’t your card machines take credit cards or Monzo? My local shop’s card machine is down so relying on yours and it’s crap you don’t accept either. I’m lucky I have got my shopping on trust I will pay which I will

  • MFFonline_ Music.Football.Fatherhood. 💙 (@MFFonline_) reported

@PostOffice Can the branch help me?

  • andy_easton55 Andy (@andy_easton55) reported

@PostOffice Hey Ryan, the Knaresborough store needs help. 1 serving, a queue of 15 currently.

  • RaziaM7 RaziaM (@RaziaM7) reported

@PostOffice How do I contact you regarding a complaint? Your website does not have a number to contact you with and you have not responded to email?

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@RichieTheFruit @PostOffice I think the PO should clarify that statement a little bit more. They can accept Tracked 24/48 if they are returns to online retailers ie. Amazon, H&M etc. but it’s only the Tracked 24/48 that specifically comes from RM’s Click & Drop service which can’t be accepted at a PO.
