@DisabledAngel87 @PostOffice @DisabledAngel87 We don't have access to customer accounts through Twitter, so I'm unable to see the current balance on the account; however, they would be earning interest over time, and it's important to inform us when someone passes away. (1/2) Jason

Lunchtime at the busy town centre @PostOffice in my town, a few weeks before Christmas. Massive queues, so of course self service machines are closed. I just needed 3 international stamps but had to queue for half an hour!

@PostOffice Broadband - an absolute fiasco. Internet down, huge waits on the phone, agents have no clue, been hung up on twice. Over two hours trying to even get a diagnosis.

@PReidie @PostOffice As Sian said, PO’s are closing because many aren’t viable businesses. My retail side props up the PO loss every month. We want to remain in our Community but faced with poor remuneration & online transactions, it’s not easy. The future is bleak. Not the customers fault, I know.

@PostOffice It would be nice to get cash from my post office, however. I live near KIrkby Stephen, what are you doing about no post office in this town? Why isn't there at least a parcel collection box there? The overall post office service in this area is appalling.

@PostOffice They didn’t tell me it had to be cash until I’d already been home and came back with my card. And they said it couldn’t be contactless because I was paying for a ‘service’. Isn’t everything they do a service?!

@PostOffice @BritishGasHelp Can you both speak to each other as the Post Office is now one of the main nominees for providing the top up service? In the meantime I am still owed £20 which it seems I have no way of retrieving!!!

@PostOffice That wasn’t my question! Cadam was out of order all day yesterday due to technical issues , coaltown has no licence so can’t it can’t service. You closed my 3 local ones after 40 year so yesterday the only way to get anything posted was in the main town centre. No local ones!!!

@PostOffice I went to pay £28 and was told it couldn’t be contactless as I was paying for a service. She didn’t say the machine was broken. So I went home and got back and was told I had to pay cash as it had been put through as cash so they could serve other customers whilst I was out.

Post Office ≠ Royal Mail
(@NewPOGuy) reported
@PostOffice @ArielBChapman What I believe has happened is the clerk used Parcelforce discount, which counts as a part payment and therefore cannot be settled with contactless. They then probably fast-cashed it so they could continue serving, which meant the customer would need to pay in cash.
