@SteveDPIves @PostOffice That might add 24 hours to clearing but it’s what’s inside the envelope that the banks use. As long as cheque is ok & all the bank deets are written on the back or there’s a deposit slip, there shouldn’t be an issue. Have found Santander & Barclays to be the slowest tho’! 🤞

@UIDAI Do any rules or guidance to authorized banks to issue tokens in 15 numbers for any kind of aadhar services? If no such rules for banks why not bar those banks /postoffice from providing so-called aadhar services? These services are more harassment for people?

@SteveDPIves @PostOffice Did you write any of your details on the back of the cheque or did you have a deposit slip? The wrong number on the outside of the envelope wouldn’t be an issue as long as your details were correct inside the envelope.

@KateJon41196503 @PostOffice Nope - just handed the cheque over to the PO worker who handed me the envelope on which I put the sort code and acct. no. I’ve never used the service before. Hopefully getting a replacement cheque this week that I’ll take to the bank but it means a short drive to another town.
