    @PostOffice so my local post office wouldn’t take my parcel after I had queued up for ages due her taking an age on another customer as I had sealed it with staples as they may rip the postman’s skin. Are you actually kidding me? Fuming beyond belief.

    Ray Lock (@thewisdomofray) reported from Cheltenham, England

    @PostOffice Cheltenham High Street (WHSmith) 20 mins to drop off pre-labelled tracked package so not even allowed to use the most complicated self-service machines in retail. But this is usual. The staff do their best but there are never enough counters open, and no queue management.

    Stepaside Post Office Closure Update I was very disappointed to see the post office in Stepaside closed this morning. Minister Richmond and I had a call with An Post this morning. They have been working with the postmaster and landowner in an effort to keep the post office open. Unfortunately no viable solution has been found which is why the post office has closed today. However Minister Richmond and I have received a commitment from A Post that they recognise the need for a post office in Stepaside or the immediate surrounding area. In the meantime post office services are available in Ballaly, Dundrum, Ballinteer and Cabinteely. Minister Richmond and I will continue to do everything we can to secure a post office back in Stepaside and ensure our community has the local postal services it needs. We understand how important this service is to the local community and we will keep pushing for a solution. #Local #Community #PostOffice

    @lily_lna @PostOffice Wow @PostOffice I see a well dressed woman who could be on her way to an event or a wedding using your services would you treat a person who spent the day on a beach who was wearing a wrap the same way. ?

    @ArturNadol7566 @PostOffice What’s the betting that this bug never caused any surpluses, only shortfalls?

    @twasthentisnow @lily_lna @PostOffice Its clear that she was a customer.

    @ArturNadol7566 @PostOffice Isnt it funny how a lot of these post offices that had these issues appeared to be in the Midlands or North of England? Similarly the BMW E39 engine problems all seem to be clustered in the North also? They blamed it on the chemicals in fuel didnt affect rest of UK or Europe!.

    @twasthentisnow @lily_lna @PostOffice Reading further, she is a customer. In which case the manager has lost her mind. It is a store, not a church. T-shirt and flip flops, sports bra and tights, or bikini top and cutoff shorts... doesnt matter. Just sell me my stamps.

    @twasthentisnow @lily_lna @PostOffice They're a customer

    @lily_lna @PostOffice When I last checked this was still the UK, despite the best efforts of successive governments to turn it into something else. So no, you're not wrong, you're entirely in the right and within your rights. It's the proprietors who are are the problem. Thanks for highlighting this.

    @GirlScout27 @lily_lna @PostOffice That's your prerogative and likely today illegal, however this shop is not a privately owned store but a post office, a vital public service in receipt of public funds. No individual store manager has the right to impose their personal world view on their customers
