Victoria Trevor (@vicbach) reported from Torpoint, England@PostOffice Do NOT use the Global Express. It's an absolute swizz. I spent £75.65 last Monday to send a credit card from Cornwall to Egypt for what was meant to be a 3 day service. It still hasn't arrived. My nephew is now running out of money & is stuck in Cairo. Outrageous

julian (@Julian2017124) reportedSmall victory today! @PostOffice have accepted my appeal against the Camberwell branch. They still haven’t made a final decision (I’ll post the outcome as soon as it comes), but I’m taking this as a positive step towards proper accountability. As my FOI already proved, this one branch had 52 complaints in just 3 years, and 96 complaints since 2021, with a shocking 61% tactical closure rate basically gatekeeping and shutting down customer complaints before they’re properly looked at. Out of the 15 complaints they actually had to decide on: 8 were upheld and 7 dismissed. That means 55% ruled in the customer’s favour. This branch is clearly a problem and needs sorting out properly. But at least now my complaint is at appeal stage. Whether they now finally admit that wrongdoing by post office staff occurred will be another story. But my intention is to keep the pressure up until they do better. If they have a zero tolerance for abuse which I fully respect, support and understand. I also have a zero tolerance for myself suffering abuse equally and hopefully they understand. #PostOffice #CamberwellPostOffice #Accountability

julian (@Julian2017124) reportedThe @PostOffice really do have some of the worst customer service skills I’ve come across from any company. After dealing with the Camberwell branch and now their head office appeals team, it genuinely makes you wonder… maybe the Postmasters scandal wasn’t actually a scandal at all. Maybe those convictions were genuine and real after all. The way they dismiss complaints, issue tactical closures left and right, and refuse to take any accountability it all feels far too familiar. #PostOffice #PostmastersScandal #CustomerService

Gonetothedogs73 (@gonetothedogs73) reported@DonaldPond6 @PostOffice Never heard of that before ... the world has gone mad. What kind of thing were you sending ?

JaneJordon3 (@Jordon3Jane) reported@gm2112rush @DonaldPond6 @PostOffice The Post office for decades was run as if it was a service provider of the Government and had 30,000+ outlets. The largest retail network in Europe yet the management and successive Governments totally missed the commercial opportunity to generate income/ profit s. They were some of the last to install ATMs, they farmed out Government services to other providers and the advent of internet transactions was the final naik- all of this went from very profitable Sub Post offices to loss making within about an 18 months period.

Dmp (@Prosserd68) reported@DonaldPond6 @PostOffice I had the same issue when I went, didn’t think there is a difference in price, went to another post office and paid the price quoted online

martyn (@martynm700) reported from Dudley, England@ArturNadol7566 @PostOffice Quashing convictions is no good unless they are removed from any DBS checks, if they still show on a DBS check they are still funding you guilty by default. And still believe that your guilty. A cleared name should mean no trace of the convictions. If not it's just lip service

Katie MacScottie (@katiegilchrist) reported@DonaldPond6 @PostOffice It’s because profit at the counter is more important than service at some POs. My local is like a bartering situation. They start at the highest price and I have to keep saying “no, I don’t need that, what’s the cheapest?” several times until I get what is quoted online.

DpawsonGas (@DpawsonGas) reported@DonaldPond6 @PostOffice To get rid of the staff. When sales at counter goes down counter and another job will be replaced with a self service box you see poping up everywhere.
