@Janewermelinger @sarataylor99 @transportgovuk @PostOffice And couldn’t issue one last week when I went. All IDPs were on hold until 1 Feb. Any IDPs issued before 1 Feb won’t be valid after 29 March. Wtf

@NFTSAlumni @PostOffice A lot of the comments on here really do show why it is necessary for @PostOffice and other large bodies to show support and solidarity like this. If you cannot see what is positive about this then the message was probably meant for you.

Dave W (@Sir56ALot) reported from Royston, England
@SpeedEight @AndyNeedham256 @transportgovuk Not ANY post office. Only 86 major branches. My nearest (in N Herts) are Cambridge, Peterborough and Camden. They said 2,500 other POs would issue them but no-one knows which ones. No info on @postoffice website.

@bluedaysomeday @trent900uk @PostOffice And what will the world look like when every single transaction is logged and recorded? No cash and coin, no ‘black market’? Do you think they’ll build more hospitals and schools from the new revenue streams earned?! Everything is about control, top down, total control!
-
sharon hearne 🇬🇧 (@sharonhearne11) reported
@PostOffice We need both cash and card. It’s not broken so let’s not fix it!
-
philip bartlett (@bluedaysomeday) reported
@Paddytastic_123 @PostOffice If vending machines can go contactless, then most businesses can. Unless it’s for “Tax” reasons… Banks were good when you had checks, cash deposits and no online or limited phone customer services. The world is moving on. We still need physical post offices though.
-
The Real Deal (@theRealDeal506) reported
@PostOffice I’d happily never use cash again. We maybe need to help teach people how to manage their money better instead of sticking with the easy always been ways
-
Cartoonist from a Scottish Island👍 🏴 (@nigelsutherland) reported from Rothesay, Scotland
@sarahcrowsnest @PostOffice They gain by getting customers who can pay without having to go to the trouble of getting cash, from whichever machine is closest. Instant purchase. Cash is dead. Completely pointless in this day and age.

Lord Monkey Tarka Daal of Egg and Spoon ☕ (@cliff602) reported
@PostOffice I disagree. The Post Office has closed down hundreds of Crown offices and given them to WH Smith to run. If that isn't privatisation I don't know what is
-
Sarah Boait (@sarahcrowsnest) reported
@nigelsutherland @PostOffice Of course cards are convenient for the customer. But why should the banks take something away from small businesses on every purchase?
-
Sam Taylor (@SamTayl08920309) reported
@PostOffice so Ms Orgill thinks it’s ok to have disabled and old people have to travel to sorting office after this piece of crap that works for you thinks it’s funny to only wait 2 seconds at the door ..What a piece of work!!!

TheDonRude (@rupertingram6) reported
@MediaWeasel @PostOffice You can pay delivery tips with your card. You can pay for taxis with your card. Almost all charity shops take card. If a high street shop dosent take card they are at a huge disadvantage and a bad business decision not to take card, ive also never been to a shop/restaurant /bar
